A Backpacking Island Elopement

Isle Royale National Park, Lake Superior

“Our dream is to have an adventure-style elopement; secluded, in nature, maybe a bit of hiking and getting kinda dirty. We’re taking a huge bike/road trip from Colorado to Montana to Minnesota to the UP and getting hitched at the end! We met and live in Colorado, but I’m from TC and have always envisioned getting married on Lake Superior. We have several ideas for locations, but if logistics work we would love to do it on Isle Royale.

We really want our day to be as stress-free and fun as possible. We plan to write our own vows, and just want to say them in a landscape that makes us truly feel the weight of the words we’re committing to.”
